WEEK 1
- Always write a rough draft first.That way if you make a mistake you can fix it before you turn it in.
- Reread your rough draft. If you make a mistake you won't know unless you reread it.
- Revise and edit your rough draft. Its an easy way to find mistakes and fix them.
- Have someone else read your rough draft. Sometimes they can find mistakes that you cant.
- Put arrows where you would normally indent on your final draft on your rough draft. Then you'll always remember to indent
- When you finish your rough draft have several different people read it. 3 opinions is better than 1.
- It always helps me to type my paper. That way it looks nicer and is easier to read.
- Make sure you use different punctuation. A story is boring if it only has periods.
- Check for run-on sentences. They make it harder to read and comprehend.

WEEK 2
- Keep a Writer's Notebook. It keeps all of your writing in one place, and is like a diary of your writing.
- Have confidence in yourself. If you don't believe your writing can be good, it never will.
- Enjoy what you're writing. It you don't like it, neither will your reader.
- Try writing with a pen, so you aren't tempted to erase. Put a line through the things you would erase.
- Share with someone you trust. Someone like a friend, sibling, parent, or teacher.
- Make writing territories. Keep a section in your writer's notebook of ideas like dreams, important events, ideas, even likes and dislikes.
